Makai is the second largest açaí brand in Food Services in the US, working with 50+ distributors in all 50 states for 12 years now, and serving over 3,000 doors, including iconic chains such as Nekter Juice and Vitality Bowls. We're one of the only Açaí brands in the US to have full control over our 100% ethically harvested, Grade A, USDA Organic Açaí production in Brazil, supporting over 1,200 families in the local Amazon community.
Makai has recently launched an exceptional Retail Product Line that perfectly aligns with the growth trends in Frozen Fruits, as retailers progressively grow their "Smoothie Bar" destination. While Frozen Fruits overall grew only 9% YoY, Açaí Packs grew 50% YoY and Smoothie Cubes grew 125% YoY, (SPINS 2023/2022).
